My ongoing journey with the company, iSmile Technologies

Hi, I am Akansha Kaushik. I would like to express a few words of gratitude towards my ongoing journey with the company, iSmile Technologies. I would also like to give a brief introduction about my ongoing project, which is on demand forecast that we use, and process historical sales data to develop an estimate of an expected prognosis of customer demand.

Demand Forecasting provides an estimate of the number of goods and services that will be purchased by its customers in the foreseeable future. Critical business assumptions like turnover and mitigation plans, capacity planning, etc. are dependent on Demand Forecasting.

My teammate and I had quite an experience with this project. I want to appreciate and express my gratitude to our technical team who were our support system all the time. I would like to thank iSmile technologies for giving us this wonderful opportunity and trusting us with the project.

My journey summarized:

1. The first phase was the cleaning of the dataset, where features were grouped into Object Datatype.
2. After the initial phase, we would convert the features to an Integer type, EDA, Feature Engineering.  
3. Next, we would deploy it in Linear Regression, XG Boost Regression model with the help of Grid Search CV for hyper-parameter tuning and check for its accuracy.
4. As the last stage, we deployed the dataset into Time Series model also. Further, the dataset is being deployed in LSTM model to achieve greater accuracy and precision.
