Single region storage is less\u00a0<\/span>costly,<\/span>\u00a0but it has a problem of availability. But\u00a0<\/span>basically,<\/span>\u00a0few of them are available in\u00a0<\/span>all cloud services.\u00a0<\/span>The first<\/span>\u00a0one is\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>standard class which has a higher cost but gives you very high availability and accessibility.\u00a0<\/span>It has<\/span>\u00a0very little retrieval cost. The second one is a<\/span>\u00a0storage class basically used for\u00a0<\/span>archiving<\/span>\u00a0data. It has a very low cost annually which is mostly used to store data which would only be used\u00a0<\/span>once<\/span>\u00a0a year or\u00a0<\/span>even less. It has high\u00a0<\/span>retrieval<\/span>\u00a0cost whenever you access the\u00a0<\/span>data,<\/span>\u00a0but it is best if you know your data will not be frequentl<\/span>y accessed. There are many other classes created by different service providers which lie in between these two classes which you can choose specifically according to your application.\u00a0<\/span>A best practice in\u00a0<\/span>the case<\/span>\u00a0of storage class is to set up\u00a0<\/span>a lifecycle<\/span>\u00a0management for the object. For example, you can set an object to be in standard\u00a0<\/span>class<\/span>\u00a0and after one\u00a0<\/span>year, it should be moved to archiving class. In this way only the older data will be\u00a0<\/span>archived<\/span>, while the newer data will have high availability for you to use for one year.
